This collection of national sports team mascot illustrations was created using my signature digital collage process, combining storytelling, nostalgia, and material history. Each mascot is built entirely from scanned vintage paper ephemera I’ve collected over the years—from estate sales, flea markets, and library archives—layered together to form bold, character-driven compositions.
By constructing familiar mascots from fragments of historical material, each piece carries a sense of depth beyond the subject itself. Old book pages, documents, and textures introduce subtle narratives into the work, allowing each illustration to feel both iconic and one-of-a-kind.
The goal of this series was to reimagine well-known sports imagery through a more tactile, art-forward lens—blending team pride with craftsmanship and visual storytelling. The result is a collection that feels nostalgic yet contemporary, honoring both the history embedded in the materials and the cultural significance of the teams they represent.
This project highlights my ability to translate recognizable symbols into layered collage artwork, while maintaining strong composition, character, and a cohesive visual style across an extended series.
